Doomed TV

I have stumbled onto another wonderful show that is dying in the ratings and is likely to be canceled soon. I missed the first episode, but every one of the three I have seen has made me cry... Shows that really DEAL with integrity, and honor, and courage, and friendship are few and far between.

It's improbable as hell. "Heroes" (a pretty good show in its own right) had ended, Dementia had gone to bed, and I watched the following show, something called "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." It's a show about the production of a fictional analog to "Saturday Night Live", about decent if slightly unhinged people going about their lives in the face of corporate stupidity and greed.

There is more professional integrity displayed in one hour of this show than is seen in any given Fortune 500 company in a year. It's amazing.

If you have broadband, you can watch the current episode as a stream from the main NBC website. Even if you hate the show, you will get to watch Sting accompany himself on the lute as he plays, "Fields of Gold"...
