Hoist the Colours (fairly authoritative)

After repeatedly listening to the sound track, searching the internet and memorizing all of the available lyrics, and THEN watching the movie again, I am pretty confident of these. There are a couple of variations of the chorus, and some semblance of standard English has been imposed.

Uncle Hyena

Hoist the Colors

Lyrics by Ted Elliot and Terry Rossi
Music by Hans Zimmer and Gore Verbinski

The king and his men stole the queen from her bed
And bound her in her bones;
The seas be ours, and by the powers,
Where'er we will, we'll roam.

Yo, ho, all hands, hoist the colors high;
Heave, ho! Thieves and beggars, never shall we die.

Some men have died and some are alive
And others sail on the sea;
With the keys to the cage and the Devil to pay
We lay to Fiddler's Green!

Yo, ho, haul together; hoist the colors high;
Heave, ho! Thieves and beggars, never shall we die.

The bell has been raised from its watery grave;
Do you hear its sepulchral tone?
We call to all; pay heed the squall;
And turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together; hoist the colors high!
Heave, ho! Thieves and beggars, never shall we die.
