"Why Did I Get Married Too?" is overwrought, kind of dumb, and just not very pleasant. Tyler Perry knows how to write and film comedy. Drama? Not so much.
"Death at a Funeral" is aggressively mediocre. I am sure that there are some people who will prefer this version to the British one on which it was based, but they will be in the minority. On the plus side, Zoe Saldana might be the sexiest woman on the planet.
"The Backup Plan" is a disappointment. Given that the subject matter is a VERY hard sell for Dementia and I (we tend to regard Baby Hunger as an unfortunate mental disability), we still like the stars, and were hoping for a lot more than we got. The script is just deeply flawed, and watching the film is mostly a chore. There are a few very good moments, though; in particular one in which Anthony Anderson expounds on the joys of parenthood.
"The Losers" is a pretty routine action adventure thing that pretty much gets everything right. The characters are pleasantly deranged. And did I mention that Zoe Saldana might be the sexiest woman on the planet?
On Thursday, I decided to take a walk. I had a couple of errands to run, and decided to do them on foot. My GPS tells me I walked 5.3 miles; the map says 5.8; I will trust the map. I would have been much happier if I had quit after about 4 miles; as it is, my right knee is REALLY unhappy with me.
