"Rio" is an animated talking animal love story. It does what it is supposed to do pretty well.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" suffers from excessive expectations. It's a good movie, and I enjoyed it a great deal. But I wanted to love it, as I do its three predecessors, and I don't. I saw it twice anyway...
"The Hangover: Part II" is very much more of the bizarre and twisted same. If you liked the first movie (and we did, very much) you will almost certainly enjoy this one. One of the things I love about these movies is that they are, first and foremost, detective stories. This gives the comedy a structural integrity that I really enjoy.
"Kung Fu Panda 2" is an animated talking animal martial arts movie. It suffers from a surplus of Jack Black, of whom I have grown VERY tired. Still, we enjoyed it enough that we will likely see the next installment when it turns up, a couple of years hence.
On 5/28, I walked 4.5 miles in 1:25, which is not too shabby when you are on the wrong side of 300 pounds. And THEN I mowed the lawn.
