"Trouble with the Curve" is probably my second favorite baseball movie, after "Bull Durham". And I LOVE baseball movies, so that is saying something. The cast is great, the script is nearly flawless, and it is just a lot of fun. Naturally, it is tanking at the box office.
"Dredd" has been described by some of my friends as the most violent movie ever, which is going a ways. It DOES have some incredibly graphic scenes, filmed in super slow motion, though, which are not for the faint of heart. The real center of the movie is not Dredd, but rather Anderson, presented as a rookie probationer. This movie is VERY dark and violent, but it is also well structured, which is unusual for action movies.
In other news... Autumnal Malaise continues to plague me; I am chronically exhausted and miserable, but not QUITE miserable enough to just stay in bed. But once I leave work today, I have a week off, and plan to spend several days at a messabout in Oklahoma, so things might change.
