"The World's End" is a Robot (as opposed to Zombie) Apocalypse pub crawl movie. It is a bit too dreary for my tastes, but mostly fun, and weird as hell.
"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" is a pretty good opening act for a fantasy epic that assumes that the audience has read the books, and doesn't fill in the background NEARLY as well as it should. Lily Collins continues to be wonderful in everything she does. I may see it again, if I can find time.
On Sunday evening, I made a joke about channeling Clueless Tom. BIG mistake. No one was hurt, but significant home repair ensued. I know that the huge neon "DOOFUS" sign on the back of my eyelids will go away eventually, but it sure hasn't happened yet.
On Monday Evening, the Incomparable Nikki came over for a classroom session in firearms, and a general visit; a trip to the range will follow soonish. Much vaguely structured information was imparted. I think. I hope. It was fun in any case.
